The Dial lost their opening competitive home fixture 4-0 against Worplesdon Phoenix on 26 September 2020 in the Guildford & Woking Alliance League Premier Division (North). This was followed by a 4-4 draw against Virginia Water Development Squad a week later, with Lewis Afflick scoring Dial's first ever goal.

On 17 October, Dial beat Chertsey Old Salesians away 2-1 to record their first win, thanks to George Holland's 90th-minute goal.

Three defeats followed for Dial against AFC West End, Woking Veterans and a re-match against Chertsey Old Salesians, before all non-professional football was suspended in December 2020 due to the coronavirus. The decision was eventually taken to register the 2020/21 league season null and void.
