Dial got their season back on track after securing a well-deserved 2-0 league win over Bagshot on Wednesday night (4 September) at Alwyns Lane.
Two second-half goals from brothers Harry Rice and Charlie Marshall clinched the points for Steve Brown's side against the former Combined Counties Football League club.
Boss Steve Brown was given a boost prior to the fixture following the return to action of Dylan Averiss and Louie Rogers after a seven-week layoff through injury.
Dial started on the front-foot with Jordan Carter catching the eye earlier on as Steve Brown’s side sought to make amends for their performance against CB Hounslow & Abbots at the weekend.
With more fans and football locals coming through the gate after kick-off, Dial’s first pay per watch match attracted a decent crowd, which would not have looked out of place two levels higher in the English Football League System.
George Lawrence found himself in the book early on, shortly followed by Noel Fortune on his return to action after a one-game absence.
Joe Condon came close for the visitors midway through the first half, but was denied by Andy Rider.
However, the visitors were breathing a sigh of relief when Carter’s shot ricocheted off the bar four minutes before the interval as Dial started to press.
And it perhaps came as no surprise when Dial opened the scoring through Harry Rice nine minutes after the restart after a good delivery into the box.
Three minutes later, Condon was given his marching order after receiving a second yellow for dissent to add to the visitors’ woes.
Lawrence thought he had added a second after 71 minutes, but his effort was chalked out for offside. Rogers then tested Adrian Giles from distance as Dial looked more likely to score again against a 10-man Baggies side.
And that moment of truth wasn’t far away when substitute Charlie Marshall linked up well with Dan Cenzano to score his first goal of the season in the 85th-minute to ensure all-three points.
