It’s official. We have appointed our new 1st team manager.
It’s a bit of a late Christmas present for our fans, but we are delighted to announce that Steve Brown has become the new boss of Dial Square FC.
Brownie was managing Frimley Green FC this season (who play Step 5 football), so to have a manager of his experience, will hopefully be enough to secure our primary target for this season. His first competitive match as the gaffer will be on 7th January at home to Chiddingfold.
There will be more to come from Brownie, the Chairman, Tony Hurley and the club in general over the coming weeks regarding this new appointment.
For now, here is what our new gaffer had to say about his new role at the club.
THE BOSS
"I am obviously delighted and privileged to have agreed to become Dial Square Football Club 1st Team Player/Manager.
It’s a great opportunity and project to propel the team up the leagues. I am pleased to say that the management team of Jack Webb and Ross walker will be staying on to support me and keep some consistency within the club, moving forward.
With the backing and support I’ve seen from the board over the last couple of weeks, Dial Square is a club that has the ambition and intentions to progress quickly through the football pyramid and hopefully that will be immediate and I can’t wait to get started.
To the fantastic supporters, we can promise hard work and honesty and I’m looking forward to meeting you all in the New year at the home game on the 7th of Jan.
With the existing group of players, along with adding some exciting new additions in the coming weeks, we are more than capable of meeting the objectives for the club this season in getting promoted.
From a football prospective, I am looking forward to working with the squad and making improvements individually, as a group and more importantly as a team to bring an exciting style of football to this football club”.
From every fan and member of the club, we wish you the very best of luck as manager.
