Dial are back on the road today (15 March) when Steve Brown's side travel to basement club Hersham in the Surrey Premier County Football League. 2pm k.o.
Despite the 37-point gulf that now separates the two sides, the Robins were good value for money when they narrowly lost 3-2 to Dial under the lights at Alwyns Lane back in October.
And while today's hosts have only mustered two league wins at home so far this season, both have come in the past four weeks against Addlestone and AFC Royal Holloway respectively to give the Robins a fighting chance of avoiding the drop.
With four of the top five clubs playing each other this weekend, Dial could extend their lead at the top of the table if second-placed AFC Cubo fail to beat AFC Walcountians away and third-placed Wimbledon Casuals slip up away to Worcester Park.
Brown is expected to name nine of the eleven who started against Frenches Athletic last Saturday, with midfielder Dylan Averiss coming in for Aidan Doran (unavailable) and Dan Cenzano likely to replace striker Charlie Marshall (unavailable).
Harry Rice will also be hoping to mark his 25th appearance of the season with his 25th-goal in all competitions. The striker has already scored 18 league goals in pursuit of winning his second golden boot in consecutive seasons.
Speaking to DialSquareFC.com ahead of the fixture, Brown said: "We are now at the business end of the season, so consistency of performance is important.
"I thought we were slow out of the blocks against Frenches last week, but we responded well after going a goal behind. However, it shouldn't take conceding a goal to generate a response.
"Hersham won't make it easy for us. As we've seen, anyone can beat anyone in the league this season, and there's still plenty at stake for both clubs for different reasons.
"There are some big games at the top of the league today, so it's an opportunity for us to potentially create some breathing space from the chasing pack," he added.
For fans wishing to travel to Desborough Island (home of Hersham F.C.), you can plan your journey here. No admission charge applies for the fixture. It is not known whether refreshments will be be available onsite. Free onsite parking is available.
