In 1886 the original Dial Square FC was founded by a group of munitions workers in the Dial Square workshop at the Royal Arsenal Armament Factory in Woolwich. With the cannon on the emblem, and the Gunners their nickname, War is is intertwined with the fabric of The Arsenal.

As this incarnation of Dial Square was set up to bring back the original Arsenal values into its soul, we feel it is important to acknowledge and respect this part of history. Therefore we are supporting Remembrance Day.

Sadly, there is no game on Saturday. We had prepared shirts with Poppies on and had plans to hold a minutes silence, to show respect to the sacrifice paid by our armed forces, but by displaying the Poppy on our website and social media accounts and the directors making a donation to the Royal British Legion, we can still show we fully support the armed services.

We are Dial Square, and we will never forget!
