Dial have been restored to the Surrey FA Saturday Intermediate County Cup after Bagshot were expelled over a rule breach.
The Baggies were found to have fielded three ineligible* players in the 1-1 draw against Dial on 30 November 2024, which the hosts went onto win 4-2 on penalties.
Under competition rule 9c, no player is allowed to compete in the Saturday Intermediate Cup who has taken part in any senior cup or senior league game during the current season.
Although club officials were notified of the position on Tuesday (21 January), the Surrey FA had to wait for the seven-day appeal period to elapse before formally reinstating Dial into the county cup.
Bagshot’s withdrawal from this year’s competition means that Dial will now travel to Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) Premier Division side Shottermill and Haslemere in the third round for a place in the quarter-finals.
The cup fixture has been scheduled for 8 February 2025 at Haslemere Recreation Ground with a 1:30pm k.o. Therefore, our Surrey Premier County Football League clash away to Banstead Rovers will take place at a later date.
