Yellas stand between league and cup double

Dial have the opportunity to make it a league and cup double when Steve Brown’s side face Milford & Witley in the final of the Premier Challenge (League) Cup at Woking Park (home of Westfield) on Thursday (2 May). 7:30pm k.o.

After clinching the Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) Premier Division title with five games remaining, Dial fans have a potential opportunity to the watch The Dial lift a second piece of silverware in less than two weeks.

Dial have already beaten Milford & Witley twice in the league this season, scoring nine goals with just three in reply. However, Brown acknowledges that there is no room for complacency after The Yellas beat Ripley Village (2-2, A.E.T.) on penalties (5-3) and Lightwater United (3-1) away en route to the final.

Similarly, Dial’s route to the final hasn’t been easy after edging past Laleham & Kempton (2-1) and Shottermill & Haslemere (1-0) at Alwyns Lane to reach the last two.

Brown is hopeful of fielding a nigh on full-strength side against The Yellas, with top scorers Harry Rice, Jordan Carter and George Lawrence all reported to be available; each of whom have previously netted against the finalists.

If the scoreline is level after 90 minutes, there will be 30 minutes of extra time and then penalties, if required.
